We’re proud to share that Plymate was recently featured in the third-quarter 2026 issue of CSCNetwork News, the publication of CSCNetwork, a national association of independent, family-owned textile rental companies. The feature dug into what’s kept Plymate independent and thriving for nearly a century: relationships, accountability, and a name our family has stood behind since 1930.

Built on Something Simpler Than Technology

Long before RFID tracking and modern laundering systems changed the textile rental industry, Plymate was built on something much simpler: relationships. Founded in 1930, our family-owned company has served businesses throughout Indiana for generations by focusing on dependable service, personal accountability, and long-term partnerships.

“What has allowed Plymate to remain successful and independent for nearly 100 years is our people-first mentality. Each generation along the way has prioritized the treatment and development of our most valuable asset—our team.” —Ben Warnecke, Plymate President and CEO

Fourth Generation, Same Values

Today, Plymate is led by fourth-generation cousins Sarah Plymate and Ben Warnecke, who are continuing a legacy built by their parents and grandparents before them, including third-generation leaders Terri (Plymate) Warnecke and Todd Plymate.

Sarah described what that responsibility feels like: leading Plymate isn’t just about managing a company for today.

“We’re helping carry forward something that has been built over decades, with the hope of one day passing it along to a fifth generation.” —Sarah Plymate, Plymate Co-Owner

That sense of responsibility traces all the way back to first-generation leader Glenn Plymate, whose words still guide the company today: “That’s our name on the truck… take good care of it.”

Growing While Staying Grounded

One of Plymate’s most significant recent milestones has been its expansion into the Louisville and Southern Indiana markets. For our leadership team, that move represents more than geographic growth. It reflects a belief that businesses in this region are still looking for a responsive, independent alternative to the large national providers.

That growth hasn’t come at the expense of investment closer to home. From RFID garment tracking to evolving customer communication tools, Plymate continues investing in the technology and processes that make service more reliable and accountable, without losing the personal touch that’s defined the company since 1930.

What This Means for You

As the textile rental industry continues to consolidate under a handful of national players, independent providers like Plymate bring something different to the table: accessibility, flexibility, accountability, and local ownership with a genuine investment in your business, not just your account.

Whether you’re a longtime customer or a business in Louisville or Southern Indiana exploring your options for the first time, that’s the partnership we aim to offer. Not a call center. Not a regional rep who changes every year. A team that answers the phone, knows your account, and treats your business like it matters, because it does.
